Maksym Cherevatenko

Max is a 16 year old Ukrainian boy who was displaced from his home in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He escaped his war-torn country with the permission of his parents who are still in Kharkiv. 

"Max" has been living with the Hess family in Minnetonka, MN and attending Minnetonka Senior High school with his host families son Tyler since March 2022. 

"Max" is a goalie on the Minnetonka Junior Gold Blue team. 

Our goal is to assist Max's host family with the costs of playing Junior Gold this season. There are significant costs in hosting "Max" and playing hockey in this league. We want to raise funds to cover the host families costs. Any additional funds will be sent to Max's family in Ukraine to survive the war and/or to fly Max's mom to the USA to see her son and watch him play in goal for his USA team.  

We appreciate the support  of the Minnetonka community and beyond. Thank you for your consideration and helping Max and his families. Together we can make a difference and touch many lives. That is the name of the game.

Coach Mike Woodley has setup a GoFundMe page for donations. Your contribution will assist Max's host family with the costs of playing Junior Gold Hockey this season. All funds will be directed to the Cherevatenko and host families to provide a better future for "Max".
